MHA #10- Saturday evening

With the way things had been going for everyone over the last few weeks, Kitty and Allie had decided it might be good to have a small, semi-quiet apartment party with friends where nothing traumatic happened and they could have fun.

Aaand then Kitty got in from California too late yesterday to get much of anything done so a lot of today was spent cleaning, shopping, and finding some game off the Internet, because with the group they'd invited, it might be good to have something to focus on rather than just glaring at people across the room. Which they'd probably do anyway, but at least it wouldn't be their whole night.

By the time people were due to start showing up, everything had been set up, the place looked presentable, and the pizza had gotten here in time for Kitty to box up a couple pieces for Lucky already, because shut up, that's why.

There's pizza, moddable snacks and drinks, and yes, there's even True Blood. Or you could just glare at people, okay.

Kaidan... wasn't much of a glarer; he was more of a be-awkward-at-parties kind of guy. That didn't mean he wasn't going to show up, though, wearing a grey Alliance t-shirt instead of his uniform for once.

He awkwarded by himself for a couple of moments before heading towards the pizza.

"Hey," Kitty greeted him with a smile. "I don't think I've met you yet." Which was something that should be remedied when he was in her apartment.

So Allie had had an interesting morning. She didn't think it would be wise to leave Eponine alone while she was obviously still weak, so she'd brought her along to the party.

Since Eponine had tucked herself into a corner to people watch and seemed okay for the moment, Allie was going to enjoy herself for the evening.

Surprisingly for her, she didn't find a corner to lurk in and instead took a seat on the couch.

"So who's your friend?" Kitty asked, because she hadn't seen the new girl anywhere ever yet and thought she should ask before saying hi.

Clint had seen Allie come in with another person, but he figured he'd see how she was doing first. "Hey, how's it going?" he asked, giving her a polite smile.

Stiles' dad would have been Very Concerned about his son hanging out with all these adults but Stiles didn't much care. He had hung out with people his own age yesterday; he even got a (pity) date for Valentine's week. A date that wasn't with Derek!

Even though he'd probably have one of those too. Ugh.

He could totally maintain a balance between adult friends and teenage friends. Besides, there was free pizza here, like he'd turn that down.

Allie was only eighteen. There was nothing for the Sheriff to be concerned about. Really! Unless he had issues with the undead. Then there might be a problem.

"I think you're the only person in the room I don't know," Allie said.

Snacks! Drinks! Mike liked both, and he'd also bought some beers and equally moddable snacks to add to the mix, too.

He was kind of side-eyeing the Tru Blood, though. But as long as no one expected him to drink it (and they didn't), he was fine.

Yeah. This was clearly just where Derek wanted to spend his evening. And he couldn't even drink until it was fun, people! Do you see the predicament he's in here?

So don't be surprised he was as far away from the center mass of the party as possible without literally lurking in a corner of the room.

No, Derek, Kaidan didn't magically start liking you or anything; he was just mildly disturbed by you doing your best giant hat stand impression over there.

Sorry Kitty, but Clint hadn't gotten a good glare in in a while. "You are, without a doubt, the most social misanthrope I know," he said as he came up beside Derek.

Jack took a slice of cheese pizza and sat on the couch, where he could get a good look at people as they came in. He realized as he surveyed the group that he was probably about the median age for the room; that in itself was still a bit novel.

Pinkie was so excited to be going to a party, you had no idea. She arrived in a swanky pony tux jacket and top hat, just because, with a gleeful "PARTAY!" and flung confetti as she entered.

Don't worry, there was no glitter. Yet.

Clint didn't feel comfortable just bringing himself to the party, so he'd shown up with another six pack of beer as well as some sodas because hey, he wasn't about to promote underage drinking. Not that he was going to be a good person once this card game thing started, but still.

All things considered, Éponine really shouldn't have been up and about just yet; she was still pale (well, slightly more so than usual) and shaky, not to mention exhausted despite sleeping almost all day. But she didn't care to spend any more time cooped up in a stranger's house, and anyhow (thanks in part to a crash course on electricity and modern indoor plumbing) she was still mostly convinced this was all a very long, realistic dream, so she was curious to see if and when the dream would end.

So she'd come along with Allie and found herself a corner to just sit and watch people unobtrusively, something she was good at -- though she hadn't hesitated to help herself to some of the food, no. She was curled up against the wall In a borrowed shirt and her own worn corduroy trousers (though she'd managed to get those washed at some point during the day) but still barefoot, an inquisitive if distracted expression on her face. Every now and then she would look down at her right hand and wiggle her fingers, then laugh. Which might come across as slightly unhinged, yes, and if you thought that you might not be wrong.

Coulson was ready for a party. You could tell because he wasn't wearing cufflinks with his suit....

It should probably be noted that Coulson did not regularly attend game parties. But that would not stop him from getting some pizza.

His boss was co-hosting a party. A party at which there was alcohol. So of course Jake was going to show up.

And immediately grabbing himself a beer.

... And some pizza, yes.
