Once the wedding was done, everyone moved inside for the reception. There were plenty of lights strung up, and despite all the worries over where to seat people, there was enough room for everyone and probably no fights would break out during the reception at least. Everyone cross your fingers.

It was time for a party!

[Same verse same as the first! If you want to be here, you got an invite.]

The sun had gone down (you're welcome, vampire friends) and the lights brightening the outside of Avengers Tower had gone on. The outcropping had been decorated nicely with promises to Tony that it would be back to normal in the morning. There was a huppa on the far end with a certain blue mutant there to officiate, and plenty of seating on either side of the aisle for guests.

When the music started, Lucky and Rook were sent down the aisle first, wearing little doggie tuxes, with one carrying the rings on a pillow on his back. When they finally got up there, they were followed by Lockheed, tossing flowers out of a basket pretty much because he had opposable thumbs and that gave him flower dragon status.

And then Kitty came out, looking happy enough that she'd probably bounce all the way down the aisle if she didn't have Logan on her arm on the way. It was time to get this wedding started.

[If you think you got an invite, you did. Yay wedding!]

Last week Kitty and Allie had made shopping plans. That was before this week happened. And as much as Kitty wanted to be at home with Clint right now, by the end of the week you needed little breaks, to remember that the outside world was there, and to like, hydrate and stuff.

"Raise your hand if you're wondering how fast we can do this in order to get back," Kitty said as they stepped into the store.

[For the friendly neighborhood vampire!]

Needless to say, the party had been planned before Kitty woke up with boyparts. Every time this had happened, she tried to just hide out as much as possible, but it looked like that wasn't so much happening this time. So, fine, you won this one, Fandom. At least she probably wouldn't be the only one.

The apartment was cleaned, even if some stuff had been shoved into the ever-growing pile of "stuff I didn't feel like dealing with right now" in Kitty's closet. There were snacks and pizza set out, and the fridge was stocked with sodas and True Blood. Keeping Flash in mind, she was even trying to keep things non-alcoholic so it wouldn't be weird for him. Everything was all set, even if argh why why why.

At least no one was gonna have to worry about conversation-starters, right? And some things during game night might be more interesting.

[Mostly for those who know who they are! If you'd like to play, though, feel free to let me or [livejournal.com profile] allie_vamp know and we'll hook you up.]
throughaphase: (like what you're saying)
Sometimes when you had terrible weeks, you just had to go and look at kittens and other small furry creatures. So after group therapy, Kitty and Allie headed for a pet store- definitely not a pet store and not a shelter so it'd be easier to leave without taking all the pets- with that adorable goal in mind.

As soon as they got close enough to see the kittens in the window, Kitty said, "I'm really glad I left my credit card at home."

[For she who be named!]

With the way things had been going for everyone over the last few weeks, Kitty and Allie had decided it might be good to have a small, semi-quiet apartment party with friends where nothing traumatic happened and they could have fun.

Aaand then Kitty got in from California too late yesterday to get much of anything done so a lot of today was spent cleaning, shopping, and finding some game off the Internet, because with the group they'd invited, it might be good to have something to focus on rather than just glaring at people across the room. Which they'd probably do anyway, but at least it wouldn't be their whole night.

By the time people were due to start showing up, everything had been set up, the place looked presentable, and the pizza had gotten here in time for Kitty to box up a couple pieces for Lucky already, because shut up, that's why.

[Up early for timezones! For those who know who they are, but if you want to swing an invite, just grab one of us on AIM at chickwithemo or izzyalienqueen!]
