The portal dropped Kitty off not far from where Sage had told her to meet them, somewhere secluded and just off an intersection no one ever used, where it was too easy to think in the time that she was waiting for the others. It'd been years since she'd gotten nervous about going into anything like this, but she was kind of nervous that she might be okay with all of it, or that by agreeing to help out this time she was going to keep getting sucked into X-Manning until she was doing it full-time. She was trying to tell herself that A) the fact that her mental response to doing it full-time was still a vehement "nuh uh" was a good sign, and that B) she should probably be flattered they kept asking her back.
