25 Unicorn Street- Wednesday evening
Kitty got back late last night, which meant today she had been running around trying to get everything done for the party she had totally emailed everyone about earlier this week.
So now the house was decorated for a one-year-old's birthday party, which... wasn't super decorated because Lexi was one and didn't care. There was food and drink and party hats the guests were encouraged to wear because they made the birthday girl laugh (the dogs were totally wearing them), and Lexi had her own little princess chair that she kept crawling or toddling out of. At least the kid was having fun.
Come one, come all, enjoy a baby's birthday party!
[If you want to have gotten an invite, you totally did!]

Arrive/Mingle
Re: Arrive/Mingle
the mun was desperate for entertainmentand it was better than...Well, it was probably good for her to get out and about.
She hadn't been sure if she ought to bring a present, given Lexi's age and the fact that almost every list she checked out for ideas had included a xylophone...
(Which… seemed really kind of cruel to the parents...)
So Iris had gone the gift card route, figuring that if anything Kitty and Clint could find something to buy because, really, Lexi was probably at the age where the most exciting presents were cardboard boxes anyway.
She was maybe going to hide from the toddler as much as possible with a drink in hand though.

"She keeps you on your toes, huh?" she teased. "I hear little people tend to do that, especially once they get mobile. She figured out how to open doors yet?"
Re: Arrive/Mingle
Lexi was a kid who would wander through portals someday, she'd get into so much trouble with doors.

Well, she might if any of the alcohol included at this thing involved belinis, which was exactly why she was sticking to beer.
Re: Arrive/Mingle
She appreciated it so much.
Re: Arrive/Mingle
So, yeah. She'd better freakin' appreciate it!

"Hard to believe it's been a year already."
She should not have been here long enough to watch a kid that she'd met as a bump turn one, dammit.

She'd had a lot on her own mind lately, never mind other peoples' minds.
"Yo," she said, saluting the other woman with her beer.
Re: Arrive/Mingle
"Hey," she said back.
Which was, like, some top level socialization for Rosa, really.
Re: Arrive/Mingle
"Quiet island lately," she said, since... hey, it'd been almost two weeks now of normal.
