25 Unicorn Street- Wednesday evening

Kitty got back late last night, which meant today she had been running around trying to get everything done for the party she had totally emailed everyone about earlier this week.

So now the house was decorated for a one-year-old's birthday party, which... wasn't super decorated because Lexi was one and didn't care. There was food and drink and party hats the guests were encouraged to wear because they made the birthday girl laugh (the dogs were totally wearing them), and Lexi had her own little princess chair that she kept crawling or toddling out of. At least the kid was having fun.

Come one, come all, enjoy a baby's birthday party!

"Which means we're probably in for it next week," said Rosa, who may have shook her head slightly at the fact that small talk around this place always seemed to revolve around weird shit happening, but, hey, when weird shit was always happening, it was pretty easy to just pick right up with anyone. "If not this weekend."

"Uuuggghhhh," said Rosa, and, really, there was a lot packed into that one drawn out sound and the faint eyeroll that went with it. "Seriously. I keep hoping the whole summer was just some sort of collective fever dream, but nope. Not even. Just this stupid island kicking it up to eleven, lucky us."
