MHA #10- Wednesday evening
Aug. 1st, 2012 02:26 pmThere probably wasn't anyone on island who wasn't able to say they'd had a very strange week last week, Kitty included. But it'd also been the kind of week that had made her think a lot, about how she just sank right into her old role (which had left her a little homesick) and about what kept happening in the places where she ended up. It'd left her coming to one very important conclusion:
The normal life she'd left the X-Men to get a shot at was never going to happen.
She'd sat down and started writing a letter to Professor Xavier, just like she had when she'd quit. She hadn't known what she was going to say when she started, just started writing to see what happened. And what happened was that she described what happened and how she was doing... and couldn't for the life of her figure out how to end it. She thought about saying that maybe she could stop by the next time she was in New York, but realized she didn't mean it. Not yet. When she meant it, then she could send this.
Until then, she crumpled up the half-written letter, launched it at the trash from the couch... and missed. Well, that was anticlimactic.
[Yes I had to. If nothing else I needed a linkdrop. Can be open!]
