Avengers Tower-Clint's New York- Saturday night

Once the wedding was done, everyone moved inside for the reception. There were plenty of lights strung up, and despite all the worries over where to seat people, there was enough room for everyone and probably no fights would break out during the reception at least. Everyone cross your fingers.

It was time for a party!

"Congratulations," Jack said, grinning because it was hard not to grin back when someone looked that happy. "I hope I look half as happy after ours."

"Me too! This feels great," Kitty laughed. "I'm glad you could make it."

"I wouldn't have missed it," Jack assured her. "And not just because you have an open bar."

They did have an open bar, right?

"Yeah, that was either the best or worst idea, I'm not sure which. Maybe it'll get people dancing earlier," Kitty said.

"I'll dance even before I drink too much," Jack promised. "Maybe I can catch up with you for a dance later, if Clint wouldn't mind."

"And that sounds romantic instead of terrifying?" Jack checked. "Or is that rude to ask on a wedding day?"

"Totally romantic. And I'm pretty sure you can ask again in five to ten years and I'll still say the same thing," she said.

"I hope you get that," Jack said. "Are you taking a honeymoon, or right back to work?"

"We're going to the Bahamas," she answered. "I have my class taken care of, and I have nothing to worry about except tanning and the mess that is changing my name when we get back."

"Kitty Barton," Jack said, trying it out. "It doesn't sound bad, but Pryde is such a fantastic name I almost think Clint should change his instead."

"Kitty Pryde-Barton," she corrected. "Because Kitty Barton makes me sound a little like I should be operating a brothel in the Old West."

"And the hyphen lets you keep the 'Pryde,'" Jack added. "No, that's a really good name. And not brothel-y."

"Thank you. And I get the same last name as any kids we have. It's weird to feel proud that I lucked out on a name that works," Kitty admitted.
