Avengers Tower-Clint's New York- Saturday night

Once the wedding was done, everyone moved inside for the reception. There were plenty of lights strung up, and despite all the worries over where to seat people, there was enough room for everyone and probably no fights would break out during the reception at least. Everyone cross your fingers.

It was time for a party!

Kitty had yet to stop smiling. Her face was going to stick this way and she was totally okay with that. And for all the detail and planning, she didn't even care if something didn't turn out perfectly. She was just happy.

"I'm starting to feel like I should pack some shades when I look at you," Tamsin said, but for her standards, it was fairly good-natured shade. "Congratulations, I guess."

"Thank you," Kitty grinned. Or, continued grinning, whatever. "I've kind of had a great day."

"You did just get married," Tamsin said, with half a shrug. "I think half these people would've gotten in a brawl if anyone tried to screw it up."

"I specifically made sure that 'if anyone objects' part was not included," she said. "Because I'd have to lead the charge in a brawl and this dress is not for fighting in."

"Congratulations," Steve said with a sincere smile. "It was a beautiful ceremony."

"Why thank you," Kitty said, not daring to ask which Steve this was. "And it was too short for anyone to get too bored!"

Steve laughed. "The last wedding I attended was a full Catholic Mass in Latin. Plenty of time to get bored."

"Yeeeeah. Kurt- the guy who officiated- is Catholic and we had a good long talk about how I wanted it to be the exact opposite of that," she smiled.

"Congratulations," Jack said, grinning because it was hard not to grin back when someone looked that happy. "I hope I look half as happy after ours."

"Me too! This feels great," Kitty laughed. "I'm glad you could make it."

"I wouldn't have missed it," Jack assured her. "And not just because you have an open bar."

They did have an open bar, right?

"Yeah, that was either the best or worst idea, I'm not sure which. Maybe it'll get people dancing earlier," Kitty said.

But there was still time for, like, Galactus to show up. Maybe to catch the bouquet.

"Please don't jinx it, if something attacks we're going to lose 80% of the guests," Kitty said, half-joking.

Half.

"But you'd save on the alcohol." Which evened things out. "It didn't put too much of a damper on Sue and Reed's wedding when that happened."

"It doesn't surprise me at all to hear that that happened," Kitty admitted. "What attacked?"

"Yep! It's all legal now, and that's the important part. You having fun?" she asked.

From his seat, Logan raised his beer to salute Kitty. HE DIDN'T HAVE WORDS FOR THIS.

Of course Kitty wasn't just going to let that stand! "You look like you're having fun," she said, which she'd say whether he did or not.

"The day's had its moments," Logan said. The wedding was one. The fight was another.

"It has! What've you been up to?" Of course she was going to ask that.
