Paris- Saturday

After a few bad weeks culminating in an actual sharknado, Clint and Kitty had decided they needed a few days away. The fact that those few days away were in Paris, with an amazing hotel, had Kitty feeling just a little spoiled, and she had to say, she didn't mind that at all.

They'd decided to take one of those bus tours that would drop you off at certain locations, which was proving to be a great way to see the city while comfortably leaning against her boyfriend until they wanted to get off somewhere. And speaking of... "I'm going to take a wild guess that seeing the Eiffel Tower over there means we're getting close."

"Oh, I like the sound of that," Clint said, guiding Kitty along with him into the line to go to the observation deck. "Are you going to end up spoiling me?"

"As long as you're feeling up to it," she said, letting herself be guided. Which she had a feeling he would be.

"In general, you can assume that unless I'm unconscious, I'm feeling up to it," he said. "Bandages and casts and concussions will not stop me."

"That is dedication," Kitty laughed. "Also, a dangerous thing to tell a woman who can get into your house for booty calls without a key."

"You say that like waking up to find you in my bed would be a bad thing," Clint remarked.

"There's a chance you might not have liked that idea," she totally lied.

[so_hawkward]

"Oh yeah, it'd be terrible," Clint deadpanned, "to know you want to be with me so much you couldn't wait for me to wake up and come over."

"That's me most of the time," Kitty smirked, but that was a pretty honest statement. "I've just been polite till now."

[so_hawkward]

"As long as you don't freak Natasha out and go through her wall or something, I think it'll be fine," Clint said. "I may have to learn how to pick locks in return. I mean, okay, I kind of already know how to do that, but if you're going to stop being polite, so will I."

Kitty paused for a second, then reached into her purse and after a moment of digging around, held out a key for him.

She'd maybe had that on hand to do that for a while, shhh.

Oh, don't mind Clint, that noise was just the sound of his brain shutting down for a second. "What's this?" he asked, like he didn't absolutely know for a fact exactly what it was.

"It's a lot easier than picking a lock," she said, totally not wondering if she should have just kept chickening out on this one.

"Are you serious? You--you want me to have that?" Clint asked.

[throughaphase]

"I mean, it's not a big deal. We're at each other's places all the time. If you want to come over, you should just be able to come over," Kitty reasoned, while still being totally not nervous why would you think she was why would you think that. "...Do you not want it?"

"No, no. I mean yes," Clint said quickly. "I--yes, I want it. Do you--I mean, I don't have a key for you and you really don't need one, but I can make one? If you want one? Would that be a good thing?"

Aww, you were cute, Clint.

"If you make me one, I'll take it," Kitty said with a relieved smile. "How's that?"

"That sounds good," Clint said, taking the key and holding onto it. "Uh, thank you. This is really nice of you."

"I'm not sure it's nice of me when you got it because I like you in my bed," Kitty pointed out as they started letting them go up.

When they started dating over leather pants, it really shouldn't be surprising that potential sex would inspire any steps in their relationship.

"See, I always knew being good in bed would get me somewhere, and I was right," Clint said, at least partly teasing.

[throughaphase]

"Uh huh. And you'll be rewarded for not freaking out." Visibly, at least, because she'd been too busy freaking out.

"Ooh, I like rewards," Clint said. "Although, I'll be honest, I may have freaked out a little on the inside. A little bit."

It was kind of a relief to hear that, but she was totally curious at the same time. "Why?"

"No one's ever given me anything like this before," Clint said. "And, to be honest, I haven't had many keys to places period, like, even my own places. It's a lot of trust, you know?"

"Well, I do trust you a lot," Kitty pointed out. "And I can't say I hate being a first for you."

[so_hawkward]

"You trust me this much?" Clint asked, scratching the back of his head awkwardly as they got to the top of the tower.
