Paris- Saturday

After a few bad weeks culminating in an actual sharknado, Clint and Kitty had decided they needed a few days away. The fact that those few days away were in Paris, with an amazing hotel, had Kitty feeling just a little spoiled, and she had to say, she didn't mind that at all.

They'd decided to take one of those bus tours that would drop you off at certain locations, which was proving to be a great way to see the city while comfortably leaning against her boyfriend until they wanted to get off somewhere. And speaking of... "I'm going to take a wild guess that seeing the Eiffel Tower over there means we're getting close."

Clint might have been spoiling Kitty, but he figured it was all completely earned by her risking her life to rescue him. "I think seeing it look big means we're getting close," he said. "Do you want to go to the top?"

"Yes," Kitty said immediately. "Do you?"

She knew the answer, she just had to tease.

"Duh, of course," Clint said excitedly. "The view's going to be awesome."

Kitty had to laugh at that reaction, and the fact that she just got 'duh'ed. "You know, sometimes you are adorable," she said, poking him playfully in the shoulder.

"Hey, take that back," Clint said, poking her in return. "I'm manly and terrifying, thank you."

"Duh, of course you are," she grinned. "I'mm sure you can be all those things at once."

"Adorable makes me sound like a puppy. Or a teenager," Clint pointed out. As they got closer to the tower, and the street got more crowded, Clint reached over to take Kitty's hand which, he realized, probably wasn't helping his case.

Well, he was the Lucky of humans, after all.

Smiling and squeezing his hand while keeping an eye on how close they were because that was kind of fun, she said, "This really was the best possible thing we could have done."

"Getting away from the island, or specifically coming to Paris?" he asked, squeezing back because hey, that was kind of fun.

[throughaphase]

"Getting away from the island by specifically coming to Paris," Kitty replied. "We've barely been here and I feel a thousand times better. Thanks for doing this."

"Hey, I can't claim to be entirely selfless. I'm liking this a lot too," Clint said. "Escaping's a nice feeling."

Which might have explained why he always felt better running from things but shhh vacationing was no time for introspection.

"Well, now I have a goal to turn 'liking this a lot' into 'do we have to leave?'" Kitty decided.

[so_hawkward]

"Not until Tuesday," Clint said, gazing up as they got outside the tower. "We still have a lot left to do."

""Somehow I doubt anything else is going to match this," she said, because seriously, adorable.

"I don't know. There's a lot of romantic places in Paris." Someone had been doing important research, oh yes. "But this is definitely going to be the most awesome height related thing we do."

"You've been checking out places based on the romance factor?" Kitty said. "You are so my favorite boyfriend."

[so_hawkward]

"Hey, we're in the city of love. If I don't get some love, I'm going to be disappointed," Clint said with a laugh.

[throughaphase]

"Oh, you were never going to be disappointed," Kitty said. "You're still taking me to these places anyway, but."

[so_hawkward]

"Oh, I like the sound of that," Clint said, guiding Kitty along with him into the line to go to the observation deck. "Are you going to end up spoiling me?"

"As long as you're feeling up to it," she said, letting herself be guided. Which she had a feeling he would be.

[so_hawkward]

"In general, you can assume that unless I'm unconscious, I'm feeling up to it," he said. "Bandages and casts and concussions will not stop me."

"That is dedication," Kitty laughed. "Also, a dangerous thing to tell a woman who can get into your house for booty calls without a key."

"You say that like waking up to find you in my bed would be a bad thing," Clint remarked.

"There's a chance you might not have liked that idea," she totally lied.

[so_hawkward]

"Oh yeah, it'd be terrible," Clint deadpanned, "to know you want to be with me so much you couldn't wait for me to wake up and come over."
