MHA #10- Saturday morning

Kitty had had a great week. Getting to spend a ridiculous amount of time in bed with a hot boyfriend and not having anything to feel bad about at the end of it? She was all for that. That said, it was a relief to wake up with said hot boyfriend and feel normal again. What could she say, she liked her brain and liked having it not fogged up constantly. Also, she sort of needed a break, ow.

In the name of doing normal, non-sexy things, Kitty was starting with breakfast. She'd never really tried to cook cook to know or care if she was any good at it, but she could pour pancake mix into a pan and flip it when it was solid. She could also put up coffee and call it multitasking. And okay, part of her good mood had to do with the last few days, but that didn't mean she wasn't ruling this morning like a champ.

"Productive. The word is productive," she said, giving him a kiss hello and being really proud of herself that it wasn't a full-on makeout. She liked having self-control again.

Clint would never admit that he was a little sore in certain places, but he was a little sore in certain places, so a sweet, chaste kiss was awfully nice. "If I go along with productive, does that mean I get some pancakes?" he asked.

"That's how it works," Kitty agreed. "Because today's being interesting and pancakes will make it a little easier."

"No, interesting isn't allowed, because I'm not awake enough for that," Clint said, pouring himself some coffee. "I thought the interesting had stopped."

"It's a different interesting," Kitty said, spatula-ing some pancakes onto a plate. "Because this town has problems."

"What kind of problems?" Clint said, being good and drinking the coffee from his cup instead of just taking the whole carafe.

"Uh, alternate universe people," she said, not quite sure how to tell her boyfriend about her future AU kid with that guy he hated.

"Oh, of course. We can't have a day without weird stuff, we might not know what to do," Clint said. "Good people or bad people?"

"Good people, just weird circumstances?" Let's go with that.

"Pancakes will help, right? They're good like that." Ah, the magic of sweet carbs.

"You know, I was just making them randomly for breakfast but now I'm hoping they'll keep the whole day a little bit normal," Kitty admitted.

"I'll keep my fingers crossed if you do?" Clint offered.

"If I could cross them twice, I would."
