25 Unicorn Street- Wednesday morning

Kitty hadn't made it through her whole shift last night, instead leaving Caritas early to take care of some things.

This morning, those things had still needed taking care of. It was that kind of week.

The difference was that this time, mid...things, Kitty accidentally phased. One second she was upstairs, the next she was turning solid right before she hit the floor in the living room. It didn't hurt, but it did stun her a second. After that second she sat up and reached to grab the first thing she could- in this case, a couch cushion- just in case she had to cover up in the time it took her to run upstairs and phase through the door back into Clint's room.

"So," she said. "That was new."


[For the guy who probably gets bragging rights out of this, but if anyone in the house wants to react to a naked girl running upstairs, go for it.]

Clint had caused a lot of different reactions in bed, and he was proud of almost all of them. But he'd never actually lost someone in the middle of... things, and he was just thrown enough that it took him a moment to get up. "Kitty?" he called. Explaining this one might be weird.

"Yeah, I'm back," she said from the doorway, suddenly wondering what to do with the cushion. "Oh my god, that just happened."

"What just happened? Are you okay? Did I break something?" That was a new way to fail with a woman, that was for sure.

"No, no, no, you're good, and I'm fine," Kitty said, dropping the cushion and coming back over to the bed. "I phased. I didn't even know that could happen like that."

"Oh," Clint said, before full realization hit him, and he broke into a grin. "Oh. That good, huh?"

She had the decency to look maybe a little embarrassed, but that in itself was probably a good answer. "...Maybe a little?"

Yeah, he was going to be bragging about this for a while. Privately, of course, because awkward. "That gives a whole new meaning to the idea of making you melt."

"Okay, this is not a goal now," she said, just in case. And yes, she was totally blushing.

"Aww, why not? Did you have a soft landing?" he asked, eyeing the cushion before putting his gaze back on her and her pretty blushing.

"Could have been softer," she said with a little laugh. "But time I'm busy phasing into another room is time I'm not here."

"Oh, that's a good point. And the bed gets kind of cold without you." Hint hint, Kitty. "I'm sorry you phased away, but not entirely. I say we blame the island, yeah?"

Kitty smirked as she crawled back into bed. "Are we blaming the island for making me phase, or for you only being kind of sorry?" she teased.

[so_hawkward]

"Both? All of the above?" Clint said, staring at Kitty as she moved. "I don't know, you can't expect me to be logical right now."

[throughaphase]

Kitty smiled as she settled onto her side to face him. "Oh? Why's that?"

Like she didn't know.

If she didn't know, the kissing Clint started in on as soon as she was settled might have clued her in. "Have I mentioned how happy I am to have you? So, so happy, for the record," he said between kisses.

Kitty draped an arm around him, smiling against his lips. "I'm happy to have you, too. And not just because you're letting me go all nympho on you."

[so_hawkward]

"Hey, you're letting me go all nympho on you. So there," Clint said, totally intelligently.

[throughaphase]

"Okay," she agreed, because she won either way, and moved to turn her attention to his neck. "You know, Fandom can keep being crazy like this. I decided I'm good with it."

As long as she wasn't expected to do anything or leave this bed maybe.

"Except on Tuesday's 'cause I'm not talking about any more students getting sexy with people they shouldn't," Clint said, tilting his head with every intent to just let her have her way for the time being.

"That's okay, because I'd have to go to work once in a while and turning people down for a whole shift probably gets boring," Kitty agreed. If her voice was a little muffled, it was because she also thought his skin needed a little bit of nibbling.

Clint was going to have to agree with her on that nibbling bit. "Wait, so you wouldn't be turning them down?" Sorry Kitty, but his brain could only work so much at the moment.

Kitty giggled against his neck. "Oh, they're getting rejected. I'd just rather not get hit on," she said. "You're my guy."

[so_hawkward]

"Does that mean you're gonna keep doing stuff to my neck? Because I like being your guy and I hope that's part of what it means," Clint said with a laugh. "I feel kind of bad for everyone who doesn't have guys and girls right now."

[throughaphase]

"That's definitely part of what it means," she said, nipping a little harder to prove it. "And yeah, I'm not jealous of anyone going for the desperate hookup right now. And not just because I get you and they don't."

"And I get you too," he said, running one of his hands down along her back. "There's definitely something to be said for the stamina of young women, or maybe you're just very impressive."

[throughaphase]

"I'm very impressive," Kitty said, arching slightly into his hand. "And focused. And other things."

[so_hawkward]

"If you want to focus a little more to the left, you go right ahead," Clint said. It wasn't like he was never eager to touch her, but it just felt so much stronger right now.

"Bossy, bossy," she teased, but did just that anyway. "Like that?"

Clint made a pleased noise and nodded. "You're just as bossy, you know. Not that I mind. It's kind of hot."

[throughaphase]

"Only kind of?" Kitty asked, pausing to lick his skin. "I'm going to have to work harder."

[so_hawkward]

"Um," Clint said intelligibly. "You work very hard. Really. And good."

WORDS WERE HARD SHHH.

"I do try to please, yes," she smiled, hooking her leg around his to pull herself closer.

"I find you very pleasing, even without whatever's in the water." You know, in case she couldn't tell that from looking at him.

[throughaphase]

"It's my bossiness, isn't it?" Kitty said, pausing in her work to glance at him. "I bet it's my bossiness."

[so_hawkward]

"Oh, sure. Nothing at all to do with your hotness, not at all," Clint teased, smirking as he brought his hand around to rub his fingers over her sides and stomach.

[throughaphase]

"I think you're the only person who's ever rated my hotness that high," she admitted with a sigh. Which was all to do with his hands and nothing to do with her hotness.

[so_hawkward]

"That's impossible," Clint insisted, wasting no time in bringing both hands in to stroke up along her body. "I know I've got good sight but someone'd have to be totally blind to miss how you look."

[throughaphase]

"You might be slightly biased," Kitty said, closing her eyes to focus on what his hands were doing.

[so_hawkward]

"Well, maybe a little. But you have to admit, you're kind of spoiling me right now," Clint said, doing his best to touch her in ways he knew might make her squirm. He was just that giving, honestly.

[throughaphase]

He was not only getting squirming, he was getting some happy noises as a bonus. "I like spoiling you. And you're spoiling me right back."

[so_hawkward]

"Can I keep spoiling you for a while?" Clint asked softly, using the squirming to guide their bodies closer together.

Kitty smiled, tightening her arm around him. "You can spoil me as much as and for as long as you want."

Like she'd say no to that.
