25 Unicorn Street- Thursday evening

Once upon a time Kitty threw parties pretty regularly and now it meant making sure the kid had a sleepover that night which had more to do with being able to clean than just having her sleeping upstairs, hoping the dogs behaved, and worrying about how much there was going to be to clean up tonight/tomorrow. Adulthood!

Adulthood also meant she was totally fine with people just coming to hang out. It felt like she didn't know a ton of people on the island these days, and there were newbies now, so people could just get together over plenty of pizza and drinks and not worrying about centering things on a game or anything this time.

Funny thing about Irony...

Because I can Cal had mostly heard about this because he met Clint's dogs, which meant he had also met Clint because the dogs were attached to him at the time. He brought some cider, because he wasn't an alcohol aficionado and it sounded good, and was doing his best to appear like a party person.

And that was Arden, stealing one of his ciders because the last thing she wanted to do was try drinking and then make faces at the terrible taste of booze like a kid all night.

"Thanks," she said, giving him a wink.

"Don't drink it too fast. I'm not carrying you home tonight," he teased. It was a lie, of course, he'd absolutely do that if she needed.

"What, have I reach my max cap on the number of times you're willing to carry me home?" she teased. "...Or are you just preparing to have to carry Dean?"

"Well, I wasn't thinking about having to carry Dean, but now that you mention it, I don't know how well he holds his liquor. He seems like he'll make it home okay, but if not... yeah, I can probably carry him," Cal said with a laugh.

"So it's now a race to see which one of us needs to be carried home first," Arden said. "I bet I can get there before Dean gets there."

She had no idea what the future held.

She stepped forward and tapped his chest. "Because you know what? I'm pretty sure if I needed it, you'd carry me home."

Cal scoffed with fake offense. "You make it sound like I'm incapable of deserting you. I can force myself to abandon you, you'll see."

Oh you asked for it. Because now she was unleashing the puppy eyes at you. "Would you really?" she asked. "I'd be so sad."

And then ruined it by adding, "And then who would I be left to wreck in paintball?"

Sorry Kitty, they taught diplomacy at the Jedi Temple, not actual people skills.

"I mean, thank you for having everyone here, you have a lovely home."
