25 Unicorn Street- Monday

On one hand, this week was a little off when Kitty felt gross a lot of the time. On the other hand, the next time this happened things would be very different, do she was taking as much advantage of it as possible.

And because she was up early, she went downstairs to make coffee- that she couldn’t drink, which is how you know she loves you, Clint- and was debating actually making breakfast while she waited for it to finish so she could bring it upstairs. Realistically she knew that wasn’t happening, but still, she was debating it.

The smell of coffee was enough to wake Clint up, but he didn't get out of bed right away. He'd been through days like this before, waking up with an antsy, desperate feeling, and boy did having a beautiful and kind wife help. He picked his head up enough to see that Kitty wasn't there, and leaned over the edge of the bed to nudge at Lucky and Rook. "You'd better go downstairs, you don't want to hang around in here."

Kitty came back with coffee, and a couple bottles of water, because hydration was important during weeks like this. “Morning,” she greeted him, setting all that down on the nightstand. “I came prepared.”

...That’s what she said?

Clint snickered as he looked over the supplies and waved her back towards the bed. “You’re a good woman, do I tell you that often enough?” he asked.

She cane back to bed, but did it by climbing over him, because she could. And, you know, staying over him for a minute. “Yes but I like hearing it anyway.”

Well, now she was going to get trapped over him by Clint wrapping his arms around her waist, so there! "You're the best wife ever," he said, giving Kitty a kiss. "And that's not just the air talking."

Oh, no! Not trapped! She was just going to have to settle on top of him then.

"You sure?" Kitty teased, kissing him back. "Because the air is doing some work around here."

"I mean, the air is certainly reminding me that you're one of my favorite people," Clint said, shifting underneath her so she could settle comfortably. "But I already felt that way before."

"One of your favorite people?" she said, mock-seriously.

"The most favorite person I've ever married?" Clint teased.

“Remember that I’m giving up coffee to have your child.” She was still kissing along his jaw, though, because she couldn’t not.

Clint groaned, and shifted underneath Kitty a little more. "I'm blaming the air on how good that sounds," he said, tightening his hold on her. "This is how we ended up in this situation to begin with, you know."

“Uh huh,” she said, moving to nip at his neck because she was a fan of that reaction. “The good thing is, I can’t get more pregnant.”

"Okay, that's a good point," Clint said, laughing. If he tilted his head to give her more room to work with, he couldn't be blamed. "And we have to enjoy this time while we can, right?"

“We do,” Kitty agreed, making her way down his neck. “Next time this happens is going to be different.”

"We're going to have a child knocking at the door and trying to interrupt us. Or crawling all over the dogs," Clint said. "Our actual child, not just one that visits sometimes."

“Probably not even doing that much,” Kitty pointed out. “We’re going to have to get fast. Or teach the dogs to babysit.”

[so_hawkward]

"I can be fast. And Lucky will be the best babysitter," Clint said, running his hand in circles over Kitty's back. "It still feels a little unreal. But I'm so, so glad it's happening. I'm still sorry about the coffee though."

“I’ll live,” she said, pausing. “Just imagine how wired and terrifying I’ll be once I’ve lost my tolerance and go back to it when I have to be up all night with her.”

"Hey, you won't be doing all of that by yourself, I'm saying it now. I can't give up coffee--" Honestly, that would probably be meaner to Kitty than the alternative. "--but I'm going to help with all that late night stuff."

“I know. And good. But crying’s still crying and I have it on good authority-“ The internet. “-we’ll both be zombies either way.”
