25 Unicorn Street- Saturday morning

Kitty hadn't given much thought to what weekend it was, so it was just another morning when she finally got up. She went downstairs, put on some coffee and fed the dogs, and then stood at the counter to try and make the coffee brew faster with the power of her mind.

Yep, just your typical Saturday so far.

"Yes!" Lila said excitedly.

"No," Cooper said, sighing. "We're looking for our dad. The people at the coffee shop said this was his house."

"No, this is my dad's house," Lexi said. Someone was an only child. "But you can play here!"

Lila sooooo wanted to play, but... "Do you know where the Bartons live? We've got to find them or we're probably gonna be in trouble."

"Here! I'm a Barton," she said helpfully.

"Us too!" Lila said excitedly. "I'm Lila and this is Cooper and our daddy is named Clint. Is he here?"

"Yep, he's over there," Lexi said, pointing, handling this pretty well because she'd grown up in the weird life that most people just adopted. "You must be from an alternate reality."

"That sounds so cool!" Lila said.

"So in another reality, I could have you for a sister instead?" Cooper said. "That could be nice."

That earned him a kick from Lila, but he had zero regrets.

"Well, in a way, you kind of are my brother and sister," Lexi reasoned. "So I can stop bugging them about being an only child for now!"
