Avengers Tower-Clint's New York- Saturday night

Once the wedding was done, everyone moved inside for the reception. There were plenty of lights strung up, and despite all the worries over where to seat people, there was enough room for everyone and probably no fights would break out during the reception at least. Everyone cross your fingers.

It was time for a party!

"That's usually where the drink part comes into it for me," Tamsin admitted. "Better than dealing with that level of weird."

"I think I can safely say that I'm used to higher levels of weird than most people," Jessica said. "I've gotten very good at coping with it."

"So what's your strategy?" Tamsin asked. "'Cause it's clearly not the same as mine."

"In general? I get kind of mopey about it for a while and then I go ahead and just face it so I can get over it," Jessica said. "With my world, I spent months doing research, building a portal, and eventually finding a world where the scraps of other destroyed worlds were brought together so I could ask the God-King of that place what happened. It's usually a smaller scale issue than that, though."

Tamsin processed that. "You've obviously already got the mopey part handled tonight," she mused. "You want to hit the dance floor to get to the second part?"

"Well, the second part will be aggressively searching for 'Jessica Drew' on Facebook later on and seeing what I can find," Jessica admitted as she stood up. "But I could live with a distraction before that."

"You'll find two blonde soccer moms trying to look like cougars and a college student throwing up the victory sign," Tamsin said, throwing a sarcastic victory sign on her way up. "At least, that's my experience with Facebook."

"This is a superhero universe. Those soccer moms may turn into literal cougars," Jessica pointed out. "But they might not be public about it."

"I think you're way more likely to find those in my universe than this one," Tamsin said, shaking her head. "Shifters."

"You'd be surprised. I knew a guy who turned into an evil lion-man when he couldn't hack it as an evil man-man," Jessica said. "But I didn't know you got that kind of weird stuff, too."

"There's an entire sub-species of shifters back home. There's a lot of them," Tamsin said, shrugging. "We get our own flavor of weird."

Which she wasn't going to go into too deeply, since she was still technically undercover, even if the Morrigan didn't seem to particularly care about the montly 'Bo banged some people, the end' reports these days.

"It's always good to be reminded that your weird isn't the only weird," Jessica said. "So, dance floor?"

"Dance floor," Tamsin agreed. "I think we caught them playing something halfway decent, too."
