Avengers Tower-Clint's New York- Saturday night

Once the wedding was done, everyone moved inside for the reception. There were plenty of lights strung up, and despite all the worries over where to seat people, there was enough room for everyone and probably no fights would break out during the reception at least. Everyone cross your fingers.

It was time for a party!

"Not after all the work we ended up doing," Kitty laughed. "Besides, we got a great party out of it."

"And a nice ceremony too. I like Kurt," Clint said. "Plus, we had the most adorable ring bearers and flower-throwers and that wouldn't have happened if we eloped."

"And they behaved! I'm so proud of all of them!" Kitty was actually impressed.

"I knew Lockheed would behave, but I was worried Lucky might get distracted by the smell of the pizza," Clint said. "Thankfully, he waited until everyone was here to steal some."

"Naturally," Kitty said. "And no one had better concern troll about my stepdog eating pizza when it makes him happy."

"I think everyone knows better. Plus, he's so cute in his little suit," Clint said, laughing. "Though you definitely win in looks tonight."

"Thanks. This is mainly Rachel and Ororo's doing." Kitty's choices had been a little more... creative? "Kinda feel like a princess."

"If there's any day you get to be a princess, it's today. I guess that makes me your prince," Clint said, leaning in for a soft kiss. "You'd better make sure I'm not a frog."

She kissed him back, taking a moment with it because she could now. "Hmm. Definitely not a frog."

"I'm adding that to my superhero profile. Hawkeye: Badass with a bow, totally not a frog."

"I'll tell Tony, make sure it happens," Kitty laughed. "I can't believe I got to marry you."

"Oh yeah, that's what everyone's thinking. 'Wow, Kitty's so lucky right now,'" Clint said, laughing.

"They should be," she insisted. "Because you're amazing, and I kind of feel like no one could be as happy as I am right now."

"I think I might be at the same level of happy as you. And we haven't even started the honeymoon part yet," Clint teased.

"Wedding night, either," Kitty smiled. "Though that'll be an entirely different kind of happy. One we don't tell family members about."

"Did you notice how your mom didn't try to stop the wedding? Wasn't that awesome?" Clint said happily.

"It was! Though I don't think she would have actually stopped it. She would have just laid down a bunch of rules." She'd been vaguely worried about Illyana, to be honest, and she couldn't really place why. "Also I think if anyone had tried that I'd have tried to kill them with the power of my mind."

"See, that would have been kind of entertaining. It'd bring a whole new meaning to the word 'Bridezilla,'" Clint said. "But then we'd have to spend our honeymoon hiding from murder charges, and I like this a lot better." He pulled her closer to him for emphasis.

"It'd be pretty easy. I don't think anyone's really going to see us on our honeymoon," Kitty smirked.

"See, your brain works the same way mine does. This is why we work so well," Clint said, sneaking another kiss.

"Uh huh," she agreed, kissing him back. "Is it wrong I'm kind of counting down to the end of our wedding so I can get you alone?"

Clint grinned broadly at her. "That's not wrong at all. I bet folks wouldn't even notice if we snuck out. Or, if they did, they'd totally understand."

"Woooould this be sneaking out and sneaking back, or sneaking out and we forget everyone else is here?"

She was asking because she was considering what she could do in this dress.

"Sneaking out and everyone can enjoy the nice party we threw," Clint said with a grin.

"I really do love how your brain works," Kitty smiled. "We can finish this dance and make a secret break for it."
