MHA #10- Saturday night

Needless to say, the party had been planned before Kitty woke up with boyparts. Every time this had happened, she tried to just hide out as much as possible, but it looked like that wasn't so much happening this time. So, fine, you won this one, Fandom. At least she probably wouldn't be the only one.

The apartment was cleaned, even if some stuff had been shoved into the ever-growing pile of "stuff I didn't feel like dealing with right now" in Kitty's closet. There were snacks and pizza set out, and the fridge was stocked with sodas and True Blood. Keeping Flash in mind, she was even trying to keep things non-alcoholic so it wouldn't be weird for him. Everything was all set, even if argh why why why.

At least no one was gonna have to worry about conversation-starters, right? And some things during game night might be more interesting.

"Why do you get to keep your parts?" Kitty asked, feeling betrayed by the world.

Because someone fell asleep and forgot to look for icons.

"I haven't a clue," Éponine said shrugging, but now she felt vaguely guilty about it. Ugh, developing a sense of morals was so inconvenient sometimes. "But I can dress up as if I didn't if it would make you feel better!"

"That's sweet. But it's okay. I'm sure I'll get lucky and not change one of these times," Kitty hoped upon hope.

"Good lord, it's nearly all of you, isn't it?" asked Éponine, looking around the room. "I hardly recognize anyone at all here. But that's better than it only happening to one person, I think. It's better when you don't stand out that way."

"It helps," Kitty said. "If it was just me I really would still be in bed."

"Is it really that bad?" Éponine wondered. "I should think I'd be a bit curious myself. It might've been useful, if something like this had ever happened to me back home," she added, just a touch darkly.

And then she rushed right past that thought hopefully before it had time to linger. "But never mind that! You make a perfectly fine-looking young man, I think."

"Thank you. It's just awkward," Kitty shrugged. "I have to be all conscious of my body normally, and then it's all... different. And clothes fit weird."

"They do at that." Éponine had a tiny but odd smile on her face as she acknowledged that statement. "Not a nice thing to have to discover unexpectedly, that's what I think, but better than waking up to find you haven't got a body at all."

"I've kinda done that," Kitty said thoughtfully. "I would not recommend it."

"Have you now!" Not that this surprised Éponine much, and she laughed. "Then I don't have to wonder whether it's unpleasant, since I trust your judgment on the matter."
