25 Unicorn Street- Sunday afternoon

While staying in her apartment to avoid the weirdness meant that she'd worked out her choreography for class tomorrow, it also got really boring really fast. Besides, she should check in to see if everyone at the old home away from home was themselves or not.

When she got to the house, Kitty phased through the door and said, "Anyone abnormal in here?"

"Obviously that's his hint that he wants more pizza, so he doesn't have to resort to such things," Kitty said, craning her neck to look over at Lucky.

"Don't encourage him. I'm actually trying to feed him healthy food," Clint said, coming back and offering Kitty a bottle. "I do know how to be a good dog owner, honest."

"You're an awesome dog owner. Thank you," she said, taking the bottle. "What are you feeding him now? So I have it around in case you bring him over."

"Oh, it's this all natural dog food," Clint said. "But you don't have to get any of it, I can give some to you if you need it for some reason."

Kitty sipped her beer and shrugged. "I just like keeping it a Lucky-friendly zone," she said. "You got on the all-natural train?"

"It's not a train. It's... okay, probably more than he needs," Clint said. "It makes me feel like I'm taking care of him to spoil him. I just want him to be around for a while."

"Awwww," Kitty said, leaning over to kiss him on the cheek. "He will be. He's healthy- especially considering how he was when you got him- and he seems pretty young to me, still."

And also Lucky was never ever allowed to die, or get kidnapped to California, or basically be away from Clint in any way, so there.

"He certainly knows how to take a fast walk when there's weird stuff going on," Clint said. "I think you have about six new bars to compete with suddenly."

[SIGH.]

"Oh, is that why I have no business this weekend?" Kitty grumped. "It's like karma for when I actually ran a speakeasy."

"Did you have an appropriate outfit to go with the speakeasy?" Even if she said no, Clint still had his imagination.

"Nope," she said, and paused. "What is an appropriate outfit for a speakeasy?"

"Something tight and lacy?" Okay, maybe he was confusing speakeasy and brothel. "Maybe slightly less leather than you normally wear to the bar."

Kitty eyed him. "Honey, is this speakeasy in your head set in the Old West or something?"

She was giving him the benefit of the doubt and hoping he meant 'saloon.'

Clint squinted a little as he thought about it. "Not really? Maybe I don't know much about speakeasies," he admitted. "I never really got to that era in school. But now I'm picturing you in the Old West and that's good too."

"Happy to fuel your imagination," Kitty grinned, shaking her head. "You know, I always thought that was probably why I hyphenated my name in that reality where we were married. Because Kitty Barton sounds like someone who'd run an Old West whorehouse."

Seriously, though, it did.
