25 Unicorn Street- Wednesday morning

As expected, Kitty hadn't finished out her shift at work last night. Also as expected, she'd gone ahead and spent the night at Clint's, because while this week was annoying, from a certain perspective it was awesome.

She didn't know what time it was when she woke up and was actually willing to admit to herself that she was awake, but Clint tended to be an early riser. So she decided to test how awake he was by leaning over and kissing along his shoulder, because she could. There were totally worse ways to wake up.

"Probably. I just got tired of laying there and figured watching you might be creepy." And getting out if bed if she didn't have to was a ridiculous idea.

"Only creepy if you weren't going to do anything about it," Clint said, slipping an arm over her.

"Which I did, and aren't you glad?" Kitty smiled, leaning in to kiss him lightly.

"I'm very glad," Clint said. "This has been a really nice week, for the record."

"It really has," she said, shifting closer. "Even if going to work and being a functioning member of society sucks when I could be here."

"Oh man, class is going to be awkward this week," Clint said, scowling as he just started thinking about that. "Maybe we need to go somewhere cold."

"Cold, where everyone needs parka, and maybe snow pants," Kitty agreed. "And then you can find me to warm up. At least till people start showing up."

"Is your friend still coming? Even now?" Clint asked. "I figured you'd have told him it wasn't safe to come."

"He'll be fine. We have weird stuff happen at home, and he can take care of himself. Plus the healing factor thing might help," Kitty said, shrugging one shoulder. "And if it doesn't... then I just don't need to know about it."

"Just avoid the radio for a while, huh?" Clint teased. "I was okay with no one coming to see me, but now I'm really okay with it."

Poor, poor Clint.

"You'll be busy anyway," Kitty said, running her fingers over his back. "Especially if this doesn't go away first. And there's no real embarrassment potential."

"How do you figure that?" Clint asked, grinning at her. "Are you planning on keeping me occupied?"

"Uh huh," she nodded. "If it helps, I promise it'll be worth your time."

"Oh, I don't doubt that. You know I'm always there for you when you need me," Clint said, letting his hand trail down Kitty's arm.

"I noticed. I noticed a lot this week," Kitty laughed, sneaking another kiss.

"You'll probably keep noticing. I can't imagine going through this week without you," Clint said, kissing back.

"It'd be soooo much worse," she said, lightly scratching his back. And she spoke from experience on that, too. "There is no downside to this."
