MHA #10- Saturday afternoon

Kitty would like to think that she handled most Fandom weirdness reasonably well. Unless of course you took away things like her powers or her brain, in which case she'd hate everything for a day or two and then get over it.

Apparently this also applied to losing her girlparts.

After waking up and girly-screaming with a voice that didn't really go with that sort of thing, Kitty had basically decided "nope." Then there'd been a search for clothes that wouldn't make her feel like she looked stupid in addition to feeling weird about this whole thing, and so there were pajama pants and a sweatshirt and then trying to figure out what things she could do angrily without leaving her apartment. It seemed the most reasonable option was something like angry cleaning, but screw that and so Kitty would be on the couch, sulkily channel surfing.

It was really hard to push a button hard enough to get your frustration out, did you know that? She did now.

"Hey, look at it as a chance to see how the other half lives," Clint said, trying to be helpful. "If nothing else, you get to go all day without a bra, and while my experience in that area is limited, that seems like it might be worth it."

Okay, that got Kitty to laugh.

"Considering how many of my work clothes are not exactly bra-friendly, that's not a huge perk," she said. "But I love your reasoning so I'll go with it."

"Getting dressed as a female is difficult, I'm totally aware of this now," Clint said with a nod. "But you really do make a good looking guy, which isn't surprising, I guess."

[throughaphase]

"Thanks," she said, a little shyly. And she didn't do shy very often. "But... Okay, you're right. At least we can both say we know how the other... works, or whatever. And I'm probably being dumb about this, huh?"

"No, you're not being dumb," Clint said, offering another hug because hey, his arms usually made Kitty feel better. "Being messed with is never fun, even when it's just a physical thing and you're still yourself."

"Being a pony was fun," Kitty said, definitely appreciating anything that got more time with Clint's arms. "Annoying because I had hooves but I got wings, so. This just means all my clothes are bad and I don't understand how guys walk right."

Clint snickered. "You learn over time. Plus, it's worth it to be, you know, well-endowed." That was probably more than Kitty ever wanted to know about being a guy.

[throughaphase]

"Oh my god," Kitty said, but she was laughing. "Chalk this up to a conversation I never thought I'd be having."

"This is definitely a conversation a guy should never have to have with his girlfriend. You're lucky I have very little shame," Clint teased.

It probably said something that they could have this conversation. What it said... who knew.

"Oh, I'm definitely lucky," she agreed. "Though it helps that you don't have reasons for shame."

[so_hawkward]

"I don't?" Clint asked, before realizing what she meant and grinning. "Oh, well. Yeah, I guess I don't. I'm just glad I can make you happy. Is there anything I can do for you while you're, you know, like this? Uh, in general."

[throughaphase]

"You covered hugs and coffee without me even having to ask," Kitty said, thinking. "Oh hey, I don't suppose you know of a way to fix this...?"

Had to try.

"I wish I could, but I left my magic wand back in New York," Clint said. "You're going to have to be patient until it wears off."

"I'll do my best," Kitty said, fully knowing her best was not going to be very good in this case. "Though god help us all if this is one of those things that lasts half a week."
