25 Unicorn Street- Friday morning except not

As mornings went, this one was pretty typical for the Barton household. There was coffee on while Kitty made breakfast that wasn't just sugar cereal, the dogs had been walked and the marshmallow snow had been cleaned off their feet, and Lexi was on the floor scribbling on some paper.

She did keep asking about the zoo, though. Because she was very new to this whole "concept of time" thing but she knew she'd been asking about it for a while now.

"I think only if we give in and take her to the Z-O-O," Kitty said.

Joke's on you, kid. You can't spell.

...They were going to have to take her to the zoo as soon as this was over.

"I'm going to need you to help me be strong and not give in to that face," Clint said.

Lexi was definitely getting the best zoo trip ever later to balance out Clint's guilt.

"We're not going today. We both have work," she reminded him. "Like responsible adults."

Which they totally were.

"I mean, I could probably trust folks to not burn down the place. Getting marshmallows in the gym equipment, on the other hand... the zoo will be a nice thing to look forward to."
