25 Unicorn Street- Friday morning except not
As mornings went, this one was pretty typical for the Barton household. There was coffee on while Kitty made breakfast that wasn't just sugar cereal, the dogs had been walked and the marshmallow snow had been cleaned off their feet, and Lexi was on the floor scribbling on some paper.
She did keep asking about the zoo, though. Because she was very new to this whole "concept of time" thing but she knew she'd been asking about it for a while now.
[For the fam.]

“Don’t make that sad face at me, ground marshmallows aren’t food, that’s why I took them away. I’m pretty sure all marshmallows don’t count as food actually,” he said, glancing to Kitty. “We might have to watch Lexi if we go outside, those tiny hands are fast.”

"That's tomorrow, sweetie," Kitty told her, and then to Clint said, "It's probably not the best day for something like the playground."

She also did not have a concept of crazy yet.

"Sorry honey, but Daddy has to work today. I would much rather be going to the zoo, believe me. But it's only one more sleep away." That was kid sense, right?

Joke's on you, kid. You can't spell.
...They were going to have to take her to the zoo as soon as this was over.

Lexi was definitely getting the best zoo trip ever later to balance out Clint's guilt.

Which they totally were.

Eventually, someday.

Well. Technically. Sort of.
