25 Unicorn Street- early Saturday morning

Kitty usually woke up early, and she hadn't thought anything was off until she started to sit up and noticed that the room was different. It took a second to recognize it, and she immediately thought, Oh, this again. It wasn't the first time she and Clint had woken up here, it probably wouldn't be the last.

Around that time she decided that her life was too weird, and that reaction proved it, even if it was probably way too late to do anything about the weirdness now.

What actually got her out of bed, though, was the outraged shriek of, "Are you kidding me?" from the other room.

The shriek woke Clint up too, but only made him cling to his pillow a little more. "Oh god. Do we have to admit we heard that?" he said.

Then he opened his eyes and started swearing softly into the pillow. "And here I thought it would be a calm weekend."

"Don't be silly, we can't start having those," Kitty said, and sighed before calling, "Lexi? Are you okay?"

"No!" came the response.

"If you can still breathe enough to yell, you're fine," Clint called back, but he still grumbled and got himself out of the bed. "I was thinking about Fandom the other day, but this isn't my fault, just putting it out there."

Kitty opened her mouth to reply, but then there was Lexi was opening the door, averting her eyes just in case, and pointing accusingly down the hall. "I woke up in a crib."

Okay, was Clint really not supposed to laugh at that? He did have the decency to cover his mouth, at least. "I'm sorry, it's... well, Fandom." he said. "Last time this happened, I think you got to avoid it?"

Hush, his memory was not going, he was still perfectly young.

"Last time Logan had to babysit me," Lexi confirmed. Which had been an interesting experience! It was one thing when he was mentoring preteens, it was another when he had to enforce bedtime. "Definitely the first time I woke up like a baby."

It was terrible that the squirrels somehow missed this moment, really.

"If I remind you that you'll always be my baby, will you sigh at me?" Clint asked. "You have to admit, it could be worse."

[throughaphase]

"How could it be worse?" Lexi asked, worried.

[so_hawkward]

"You could have woken up still a baby, or as a boy, or as some other random person named Lexi who hates us," Clint pointed out. "We just woke up not at home, but now we can see what's going on in Fandom."

He was going to be so entertained by the answer being "a crap ton of dinosaurs," that was for sure.

"Insanity, probably," Kitty said, casually. "...Is Nate here?"

"...damn it, I thought maybe he was just still asleep," Clint said, getting up fully and going to look around the house. "Why would only one of you end up here? Like I'm not going gray enough already."

"It's probably like before. Logan having to babysit him," Kitty said. "I'm sure he's fine." Hopefully.

Lexi frowned. "Was this how it was when I didn't show up?"
