25 Unicorn Street- Tuesday morning

For days Kitty had driven herself crazy waiting for a phone call from her doctor back home, waiting on genetic testing results that would tell them whether or not they were getting the kid they expected. It didn't matter if they were closed, she still half expected it. She'd even maybe hacked into their system to see if her results were in there somewhere, because she had some little boundary issues there.

She was trying to be a little less psycho about it, though, and today called a minute after they opened, because she didn't want to seem too pushy. Of course they didn't pick up right away, so she had to call back five minutes later, and that time at least someone picked up.

"I mean, no matter what I would still be happy, it would still be our child," Clint said quickly. "But now it's official, I'm going to be outnumbered."

"Oh yeah, you don't stand a chance," Kitty nodded.

"I already feel strangely wrapped around her finger, and she barely even has fingers yet," Clint said. He slipped his arms around Kitty and ran his hand over her stomach. "I'm also fully prepared to shoot anyone who even looks at her sideways for having the X-gene."

"That will be a thing," Kitty signed. "But she seemed pretty good with it, right? She was looking forward to powers."

[so_hawkward]

"Yeah, and it certainly won't be a problem here," Clint pointed out. "Is it wrong that I just hope she doesn't get something dangerous to herself?"

[throughaphase]

"No, that's not wrong. She might end up with mine? Or something like it? Maybe?" Kitty shrugged.

"Great, then you can both disappear on me through walls. Although that would also mean both of you are fairly safe, so I like this plan," Clint said.

"Suddenly I'm really glad her powers didn't manifest during the hide and seek ages," Kitty realized. "There are worse ones to get. It's nice and defensive."

Clint laughed, and leaned in to give Kitty a kiss. "This is the best news. I love you, I'm going to be saying that a lot."

[throughaphase]

"I love you too," she grinned. "And I love how excited you are about this."

[so_hawkward]

"I have to focus on my excitement so the terror doesn't take over," Clint said with a smirk. He was partly joking, at least. "This is everything I've wanted but didn't think I'd get."

"She's showed up every year we've been together and you didn't think you'd get this?" she asked, smiling. He really was too cute.
