Kitty woke up way too early because there was a dog licking her face. Lucky had been through this enough times to probably get what was up, but all Kitty knew was that the best way to wake up was giggling while also trying to get him to stay still long enough for her to pet him.

"Okay!" she said, racing down the stairs because that's how stairs were meant to be taken when no one was there to warn you against it. "Do you know how to make stuff?"

"Depends on what kind of stuff. I can make us cereal, or maybe toast, but I'm not allowed to use the microwave or the oven."

I mean, even grownup Clint couldn't always be trusted with the oven, so...

"Oh! I can use the microwave with supervision. You could supervise me."
