Westchester, NY- Wednesday evening

Kitty had brought Clint with her to New York, and by the evening she decided to drag him out for date night. Westchester didn't have quite the selection NYC did, but she at least knew of a good pizza place.

As they waited for their food, she said, "This is how you know I love you. New York pizza and I'm missing the Cubs."

"New York pizza is superior pizza, you just can't admit it due to your upbringing, and that's fine," Clint said with a sage nod. "Plus, we still have the internet so you can track your precious Cubs. I know my teams do better when I don't actively watch the games sometimes."

"They did fine when I watched the last round," she sighed. "And Lexi is being brought up with Chicago pizza."

Clint gasped in mock horror. "What? You can't force a pizza choice on a child. We need to expose her to both kinds of pizza, and when she's old enough, she can make the decision for herself."

"And she'll choose right. But I'm totally taking her to Cubs games, and then out to pizza. Teach her optimism and deliciousness," she said.

"You can convert her to the Cubs way, that's fine. Anything that keeps her away from the Yankees is good parenting."

"At least we agree on that," she said. "And you didn't make any comments about the Cubs teaching her disappointment so you're definitely a keeper."

"Hey, they're doing well this year. If anything, it'll teach her not to be an obnoxious fair weather fan," Clint said. "Also, I know what not to say to stay off the couch tonight."

"That'd be awkward," Kitty mused. "You'd wake up in the morning with the students all having drawn on you..."

She'd have drawn on him too if he dissed the Cubs, to be honest.

"You haven't taught the kids to behave themselves yet?" Clint teased. "It might be worth it to give them some entertainment."

"Do you know how hard it is to be the disciplinarian when the staff is regularly trying to kill each other?" she asked dryly.

"I'd say you should learn how to work better, but I'm pretty sure Steve and Tony are going to actually kill each other one of these days," Clint said.

"We could always do some sort of Avengers/X-Men group therapy and hug it out," Kitty teased.

"See, now you're suggesting we mix things that shouldn't be mixed beyond the two of us," Clint pointed out. "That's asking for more trouble. Like, world-ending trouble."

"Just wait until the wedding," she countered.

"We're going to have to start months in advance to get our friends to get along," Clint said. "We may have to come up with bribes."

"I'll smack them if they start trouble," Kitty said. "That's kind of like a bribe, right?"
