25 Unicorn Street- Saturday

While Clint was in his office, Kitty was entertaining Barney at the house. Which she was totally fine with, since they got along and it always gave them an opportunity to talk about Clint stuff. There was no bad there.

"So how are things in New York?" she asked, taking a seat on the couch.

"Have you considered Vegas? I'd come help. Chapels aren't the type of places I get banned from," Barney offered.

"You are definitely related to Clint," she grinned. "My mother would kill us if we did Vegas. But I don't think we're going the chapel route either. We don't want anyone getting banned or busting into flames."

Barney snorted a little before sitting down next to her on the couch. "You're really serious about marrying Clint, aren't you? Even knowing how crazy things get around us?"

"Things get crazy around me, too," Kitty pointed out. "I'm serious enough to have the dress."

Because even if the rest of the detail-planning was intimidating, she had one of the big things down as soon as she'd been able.

"Wow," Barney said, genuinely surprised. "Okay, you're serious, I believe you. It still just seems weird, I guess. Never thought either of us would actually get married."

"See, that's the tricky thing about getting married. It involves two people," Barney said with a smirk. "The only person who's ever been willing to put up with me for a long period of time is Clint."

Barney laughed and shook his head. "I'm pretty sure that ship has sailed. I would have said the same thing about Clint, but then you came along and... neither of us were expecting you, I think."

"I get that a lot," Kitty smiled, and shrugged. "Clint and I are something where neither of us was looking for it but everything clicked. And then kept clicking. I'm still surprised sometimes."

It's definitely weird to consider, but it's not a bad weird since Kitty is, well, pretty damn awesome herself. "I'll try," he said, hoping that was enough. "That reminds me, are you planning on changing your name, or leaving it? Or making Clint take yours?" he asked with a laugh.

"I don't really see him going for that," she laughed. "I'm kind of leaning towards hyphenating. I was going to leave it, but I want to have the same name as our kids." Which was a weird thing to be talking about with someone who wasn't Clint.

Sorry Kitty, but it was just weird in general. "You're not seriously considering bring a child into the world with Barton genes?" he asked. "You didn't see what Clint was like as a kid. You might end up with the most sarcastic child alive."

Actually she had seen Clint as a kid, but since she didn't always know what Barney had been told about this place she'd let it slide. "It'd probably be karmic payback for being super mouthy myself. It might lead to some interesting parent-teacher meetings."
