Clint and Kitty's apartment- Cincinnati, OH- Tuesday afternoon

With school finally ending- and not that she didn't love teaching disinterested, mostly mutant junior high kids but she needed the break- Kitty's life seemed to be mostly focusing on all the planning she had to do. Her dress wasn't ready and there were still a thousand tiny decisions to be made and while she wasn't a bridezilla she was trying to get things settled before her mom found something to get upset about.

So, she was sitting on the sofa with her laptop, playing with her spreadsheet on what still needed to be done and what vendors needed to be paid. And she was not at all cheating by keeping a browser window open to see all the arrangements they were making for the House of Magnus' gala. She was curious, okay?

[As of the last post Clint, Kitty and the rest of her world are under a glamor that they have some version of their perfect life. They've never been to Fandom and don't know anyone there unless they exist in Kitty's universe. Yes, it's temporary.

"Well, I meant what comes after, but I think the reception will be fun too. Oh, I should apologize far in advance for whatever Barney ends up saying in his best man speech. I've told him to be good, but I think he's going to ignore that."

"I wouldn't expect anything less," Kitty said honestly. "Especially since he's more likely to pick on you than me."

"He's definitely going to pick on me more than you, because he knows if he picks on you I'm going to beat his ass into next week, wedding or not," Clint said, resting his head on Kitty's shoulder.

"Aww, it's almost as if you like me or something," she said, placing a hand on his knee.

"I don't know about that. I did ask you to put up with me for good," Clint said, putting his hand over hers. "That's not always going to be a fun job."

"I knew this job was dangerous when I took it," she told him. "Or, decided to take it. We'll make it fun."

"It'll be fun, I promise," Clint said, smiling. "I'm really glad we're doing this."

"Me too. I'm going to get to be Mrs. Barton. How cool is that?" Also, she'd get to confuse her kids with a name change in the fall! Bonus!

"I think it's very, very cool," Clint said sincerely. "It makes me feel all kinds of embarrassing things." Clearly, the only way to deal with embarrassing emotions was to cover them with a kiss.

She kissed him back, deciding, "Clearly I need to make you feel embarrassing things more."

"No, no, I like feeling this just fine," Clint protested, kissing her back a little harder.

"You can feel a lot more than just this, if you want, she said between kisses.

"Mmm, maybe we should stop. I'd hate to take advantage of you before our honeymoon," Clint said, barely able to keep a straight face as he kissed Kitty's neck.

"That would be so mean," she said, shifting to give him room. "So, so mean."

"Oh, well, I don't want to be mean or you might change your mind about marrying me. I guess I'd better be really nice instead," Clint said, carefully setting the laptop aside and grinning at Kitty.

"That might be your best idea since..." She pretended to think about it as she moved into his lap. "Since proposing, actually."
