25 Unicorn Street- Saturday late afternoon

Kitty hadn't taken a lot of damage in the fight with the Inheritors, but phasing a bunch of people at once again kind of took it out of her. Again. Because this was like the third time in like two weeks that she'd had to do it and uuugh she was over it.

So once she got home, she cleaned the cut on her arm and stuck a bandage on it, and then flopped on the bed to cuddle Lucky whether he liked it or not.

"Or at least wearing me out in fun ways," Kitty said. "Not necessarily always dirty."

"Why don't I stick to the fun ways of wearing you out, and you stick to the relaxing ways of being together?" Clint said with a laugh. "I see a lot of movie watching and dog petting."

"And maybe an excuse or two to get away from where things are dramatic," she said thoughtfully.

"Mmmm, vacation maybe?" Clint said. "I know we just went on a cruise but I think you've earned another break, even if it's just a little one." Sitting up more, he said, "Hey, we should do something where we can bring Lucky and Rook. Like, all of us get away for a bit from drama."

"We could do that," Kitty said, brightening. "Not just New York, I'm guessing?"

"Nah, probably not," Clint said, relaxing next to Kitty again and holding her close. "Maybe further down south. I have a place we could go, assuming it's still there."

This cuddling thing was the best. The best. "Ooh, having a place down south sound- wait, assuming it's still there?"

Clint was always glad when he could use his arms for good and not evil!

"Yeah, I haven't been there in a year or two, I think?" Clint said. "But it's all paid up. It's a place to go if I ever need an emergency hiding place, you know?"

"Makes sense," said Kitty, who'd definitely either had to do that, or had friends who'd had to do that in the past. "And it also helps when you need a vacation."
