25 Unicorn Street- Saturday morning

It wasn't a surprise for Kitty to spend the night over at Clint's or anything. Though normally she didn't wake up the next morning as Hayley, next to a guy she didn't know. She wasn't too worried about that, though. Mostly just annoyed at herself since that kind of thing was what had gotten her into her whole current mess to begin with.

She wasn't even that careful about trying not to wake him up. She just sat up and started looking for her clothes and trying to figure out where she was.

"These are not the kinds of dogs that kill and eat people," Hayley assured him, standing straight again. "I don't have any dogs. They probably belong to whoever lives here."

Whoever that was. Maybe she got drunk and killed the home's owners before bringing a guy back there and that's why she didn't remember anything? Didn't exactly sound like her, but she didn't have any other theories.

"I wonder what happened to the person who lives here," Clint said, looking around. It didn't look like a witch's lair, so he didn't think he'd killed the owner, and he wouldn't have stuck around if he had. "Do you remember how we got here?"

If he left Gretel behind somewhere, she was going to be pissed.

"No clue. I guess I could try to make the most awkward call home ever..." Ah, nothing like telling your babydaddy and his brother that you'd made out with that you were in a strange house with some guy named Hansel.

Not that any phone she found would be any help, but.

"Call home how?" Hansel asked, eying her carefully. "I think I need to find my sister."

"With a phone..." she said slowly. It felt like she spent half her life calling somebody or other to tell them somebody else was in trouble. "You have a sister?"

"Yes, her name is Gretel. I don't suppose you know where she is?" Hansel said. He didn't know what the hell a phone was, but he didn't know if mentioning that right now would help him or not.

"Never heard of her," Hayley said. "Maybe she's in the house somewhere."

Which given how they woke up, would be weird.

"How big could this place be? I think if she was here, she would have heard us by now," Hansel said, looking back at Hayley as his expression softened. "I'm sorry, I don't usually do this sort of thing. Wake up next to a woman I don't know, I mean. Usually I wake up and my sister is there. Not that you weren't a nice surprise because you're very pretty." He closed his mouth before any more words could come out because ugh, talking yo women sucked.

Hayley decided not to touch the 'I wake up and my sister is there' thing.

"Yeah, well, I wouldn't make a habit of waking up with strangers. That way only leads to trouble," she said, though there was some sympathy there. Since, you know, she knew firsthand and now her life was terrible and she would not be getting over that anytime soon.

"Well, you won't have any trouble this time, I promise. I end trouble, not start it," Hansel assured her.

There were a whole lot of really bitter comments she could make about that, but Hayley stopped herself from making them. Mostly because this poor guy seemed like he really did mean well.

"Well, that's... good to know, I guess," she decided. "I'll remember that if that's what's going on here."

"Absolutely. If you run into trouble, just come and find me." Once he was fully dressed, of course. "I uh, I mean, thank you for last night. I'm sure it was fun."

"It's one of the things I do well," Hayley said dryly.
