25 Unicorn Street- Sunday after the finale

Once things were settling down, Kitty got Clint away from the carnival, because she didn't want to be there anymore and was pretty sure he wanted to be there even less. So they went back to his place, where he could probably look forward to her attaching herself to him like a cuddly lamprey.

First things first, though. Once they got inside, she asked, "Are you hungry? We could order pizza, if that isn't taunting Lucky."

"And you're very good at it," she said. "Please tell me this means you've hugged Thor."

It was such a pretty visual. Just imagine it for a minute.

"Against my will, yes. Stop picturing it " Clint had a good idea of how Kitty's brain worked by now.

"Awww, you can't let me have this?" she mock-pouted. She was going to picture it anyway.

"As long as you don't talk about it on the internet," Clint warned.

[throughaphase]

"Definitely not," Kitty promised, pulling herself into his lap and positioning herself so that she wasn't blocking him from Lucky. "I learned from last summer that nothing personal goes on the internet ever. It can just stay in my brain."

Okay, having a lapful of Kitty was actually pretty awesome, so maybe this weekend wasn't going to turn out too bad. "As long as that's where it stays, you can think about me getting hugged by anyone."

"Okay, you probably don't want to give me that kind of freedom," Kitty warned.

[so_hawkward]

"Hey, it works both ways, right? I can think about you getting hugged by people too?" Clint suggested.

"I know you're going to do it regardless," Kitty teased.

"I have. And it was more than hugging." Sorry Kitty, but the version of you in his head was really pretty with Natasha. "So I guess I can't say anything."

"You're lucky your dirty mind is one of the things I love about you," she said, like she wasn't just as bad. "Otherwise I might be offended."

She would not be. Definitely not when she'd started it, anyway.

"Oh, and your mind is completely innocent," Clint teased. "I'm such an awful influence on you."

"Yes, you are, I'm glad you're finally admitting it," Kitty nodded, trying to keep a straight face.

[so_hawkward]

"Hey, that was sarcasm. You got corrupted a long time before I got my hands on you Ms. I've Got Leather Pants And I Know How To Use Them," Clint insisted. "I've just, you know, helped more."

[throughaphase]

"Those were for work!" she protested. The terrifying thing was they actually were. "That was an unofficial uniform."

Including the pair with giant holes cut in the thighs.

"You're the boss, you make your own uniform," Clint pointed out.

[throughaphase]

"At my first bar it was," Kitty clarified. "And then I carried it over because it was familiar. And badass. And then because your face when you saw me wearing them was fantastic."

"Oh come on, how was I supposed to look? I already had a thing for you and then you were just there all barely dressed and I'm not a superhuman," Clint said.

"All the important parts were covered. I'm pretty sure I had an actual shirt that day, too," Kitty laughed. Given her clothes back then there was about a 25% chance she had been showing sideboob, though. "Most people didn't look twice at what I looked like. I'm just glad you did. And that you already had a thing for me."

[so_hawkward]

"Those people were dumb. Or blind. Or possibly both," Clint said, wrapping his arms tightly around Kitty. "But hey, I got you so I win."

See? See, she was counting that as a hug. Her cuddle plans totally worked. "Yeah, you did. But I think I won too so we could say it's a tie."

[so_hawkward]

This was totally just cuddling as far as Clint was concerned, but it still felt nice, considering the alternatives. "I'll accept a tie," he said, nuzzling a little at her neck. "You want to stick around for a while, right? Tonight, I mean?" Because that was all on her and totally not on him wanting her to stick around.

"Uh huh. Especially if you keep doing that," she told him. She needed to cling some. "All things considered, you might have a tough time getting rid of me for a while."

And there, he could keep her around for as long as he needed her.
