radio linkdrop tutorial!
Every section is split up: classes/clubs/library, dorms/personal journals, and townies/bars/clinic. You'll be grabbing the same section all semester, and unless you're covering for someone else, you don't need to worry about any other sections. All you have to do is grab the links for the posts in your section, and the threads in the posts.
-Threads that amount to "so and so existed" and single-ping threads generally don't get dropped, though if there's something you feel is interesting or important and should be included, feel free to include it.
-Be as detailed as possible. "Person A came to work" isn't really helpful, so including details from the post gives the broadcaster more to work with.
-Don't just stop reading a thread because it collapsed. Sometimes important stuff needs a little bit of a warmup to get mentioned in a thread, so it's good to read a little further.
-That said, if you have a post that blows up with comments, like a picnic, it's okay to be a little more slapdash with it. The broadcaster probably wants to get through it as much as you want to get done linking it, and a quick summary is fine. If you're gonna have three comments of links, we understand.
Everyone has their own style for how to write up their comment. Some people break up each post with two spaces between them, some people add ellipses to subthreads so you know it's a subthread, some people just list the links and that's it, etc. All of that's okay. There's no standard right way, so as long as the broadcaster can read the links coherently.
