Kitty thought Clint's first meeting with her dad had gone well. She was sure she'd be fielding questions about the age difference, but she knew from when he met her mom that all she really had to do was change the subject and that'd be that. Otherwise she hadn't seen anything to worry about. She was sort of amazed it'd taken this long for this meeting to happen, but she and her parents had more or less all been in their own corners since she first went off to Westchester, so she was just glad that it had happened at all.

Now as they were walking back from her dad's to where they were staying (because she was not staying with her boyfriend at her dad's, nope), she reached for Clint's hand and said, "See, that wasn't so bad, was it?"

On one hand, it was really nice to meet Kitty's dad, partly to get a little more understanding of how Kitty got to be as awesome as she was, and partly to find out whether or not her dad would approve of him if he was still around. Meeting him had gone well - sure, there'd been talk of Clint's intentions and vague threats of bodily harm should anything happen to Kitty, but that was expected and normal and it was all so nice that Clint was already bracing himself and hoping that maybe the weird stuff could just stick around forever.

"No, you were right. He's really nice," Clint said, giving Kitty's hand a squeeze. "I mean, I knew he would be 'cause of how you turned out, but this was a good idea."
