MHA #10- Saturday morning

It should surprise no one that last night's date had ended up at Kitty's place, and as it turned out, having a boyfriend for Valentine's Day two years in a row- the same boyfriend, no less, go her- was kind of awesome. That should also probably not be a surprise.

It took her a while to drag herself out of bed this morning, heading to the kitchen to put up coffee, because that was a necessary thing and the Perk was all the way outside. So yeah, just another ordinary morning, just like the ones everyone else was having before their weekends got turned upside down.

"Uh huh. And it looked exactly like the last time so I thought it was okay to go through and find you and here you are!" Lexi was pretty happy about that.

[so_hawkward]

"That was probably a wise move. Although next time, you might want to leave a note so the other me and your mom know where you are." Or something. This was all so weird. "Did you get bigger, or just cuter?"

[ahawkwardphase]

"Both." So modest. "I'm a growing girl. Still can't phase, though."

Did you know how tired she was of doors? Did you?

"Aww, I'm sorry. I'm sure it'll happen soon," Clint said, even though he imagined the other him was probably hoping it wouldn't. "There's nothing wrong with being normal though."

"I know. You say I should enjoy it while it lasts. But I really wanna be able to get anywhere."

Which was exactly what you didn't want a little kid doing, but.

"As long as anywhere is somewhere your mom and I can get you..." Clint trailed off.

[ahawkwardphase]

"...Sure," Lexi nodded. "Mom says I might get something else, anyway."

[so_hawkward]

"That's true. You could get teleportation, or be super strong," Clint said. "You could be stronger than me, that would be cool."

[ahawkwardphase]

Lexi's eyes widened. "You think so?"

[so_hawkward]

"Sure, why not? Anything's possible," Clint said. "Whatever happens, you're going to be awesome."

[ahawkwardphase]

Lexi beamed, because who didn't like hearing that from their dad. "Well, if you say so."

[so_hawkward]

"I do say so. And whatever happens, your mom and I will be there for you." There weren't a lot of things Clint could guarantee about where Lexi was from, but that was one of them. "Is everything going okay at home?"

[ahawkwardphase]

"Uh huh. The world keeps getting saved." And really, that was the important part. "School's fun. I'm still an only child," she said, a little pointedly. Someone was apparently bored with that.

[so_hawkward]

"Uhhh, you need to talk to your mom about that. She's the one who makes the babies," Clint said, eyes wide.

[ahawkwardphase]

"It takes two people, Dad," Lexi said patiently.

[so_hawkward]

"You're too little to know that," Clint protested. "There's a stork and a cabbage patch and something."

[ahawkwardphase]

"A stork and a cabbage patch?" Lexi knew better.

[so_hawkward]

"The stork goes to the cabbage patch and gets a baby?" Clint said uncertainly. "When married people are really ready for one?"

[ahawkwardphase]

"That's silly, Dad," Lexi laughed. "I watch TV."

TV had probably ruined Santa for her by accident, too.

[so_hawkward]

"No more TV for you," Clint said, frowning. "But talk to me when you get home about the brother or sister." He was totally going to make that someone else's problem.

"Okay. I'll tell him you said so." Yep, she was gonna tell on you to yourself, Clint.

And he was going to end up cursing himself. Yep, that sounded about right for his life. "I want another hug for this conversation." It was only fair.

"You can have two," Lexi decided, and did just that. Though the first one was a little faster because she knew she had two hugs to give. Couldn't use up all the hug strength on the first one.
