MHA #10- Saturday morning

Clint had come over last night, which was more than okay in Kitty's book, though it did pose a slight problem this morning. She'd been just awake enough when she rolled over to realize that something felt off- which a person might get used to after spending enough time in Fandom- and then there'd been a peek under the covers which hadn't gone the way she wanted it to, and now Kitty hated life again.

At least she had clothes in the closet from the last time this had happened, and maybe she could get to them before Clint woke up? And maybe she could just spend the rest of the weekend sitting in there?

Kitty might have gotten away if it wasn't for the fact that Clint was far more cuddly in his sleep than he was when he was conscious, and her shifting around was enough to get him to start to wake up. "Morning," he said, smiling and reaching for her blindly.

"Uhh, you might not want to do that," Kitty warned, trying to shy away a little because oh god, the awkward.

That wasn't what Clint expected to hear, and when he opened his eyes, he gave her a sympathetic look. "Aww, Kitty. What happened?"

"The island is stupid, that's what happened," she explained. It was also mean. Stupid and mean.

"Yes, yes it is. Come here," Clint said, reaching for her again. "It's okay, you're still cute enough for cuddling. Do you feel okay?"

"Yeah," she sighed, but had no problem getting a little closer this time if he wasn't weirded out by it. "I hate everything, but other than that..."

"I'm not included in that everything, am I?" Clint asked, sliding his hand around her and rubbing his thumb over her stomach. It was weird, sure, but it wasn't like, completely terrible or anything. "You're still pretty cute like this. And the right age, which I always think is important."

"No, you're not included in that," she assured him, sighing a little. "I mean, I'd much rather be like, nine right now but that's make this a lot weirder."

[so_hawkward]

"Yeeeah, I like this a lot more than having to explain things to a kid," Clint said. "And at least you know what's going on right now. That's a plus too." He could be optimistic enough for the both of them for now.

"Yep. And I know that I'll be normal again on Monday." And if she wasn't, oh god. "And when I do, I'm coming over immediately to reintroduce you to how I actually look." She paused. "And then I have to get to class."

"I know how you actually look. You're still you," Clint said, trying to emphasize that by shifting closer and curling up, even with all her current boyparts. "I don't suppose you have a TA, do you?"

He was definitely making her more comfortable, and she was gonna love him forever for that. "Nope. I could come back afterwards..."

"Aww, you knew where my brain was going. So smart," Clint teased.

"That's because I know your brain's almost always at least halfway there anyway," Kitty teased back.

"...yeah, I can't really argue with that," Clint agreed. "But you don't mind, I think."

[throughaphase]

"Nope. Mostly I'm just impressed your brain goes there more than mine," she smiled.

"I'm pretty sure that's a guy thing, enhanced by you being... well, you know, you," Clint said. It seemed awkward to talk about Kitty being hot with her not looking like herself.

[throughaphase]

"You know, I'm pretty sure I could never let my ego get too deflated around you," Kitty said. Even if seriously, she missed her normal body and face.

"Isn't it part of my boyfriend duties to remind you you're awesome? Especially when you're not feeling particularly great?" Clint asked. "That seems like it should be a thing."

[throughaphase]

"Yeah, but it actually works on me when you do it," she told him. "Which I know I like."

Clint laughed at that, and shifted closer again. "I like it too. I'm sorry the island is screwing with you today. It'll get better though."

[throughaphase]

"Yes. Monday," Kitty nodded, feeling comfortable enough to drape her arm over him. "Is it Monday yet?"

"Not yet. We've still got a lot of weekend to get through," Clint said. "Hey, you're probably not alone. Does that help at all?"

[throughaphase]

"Yes," she said immediately. "And if I was the only one this happened to, that would be like the meanest thing Fandom ever did."

There were probably meaner things.

"I would definitely have to beat someone up for that," Clint said. "Assuming I could figure out who to hit but, you know, with that part taken care of, I'd definitely have your back."

Kitty couldn't help but smile at that. "This is why you're my favorite."
