So in case my incessant tweeting about it didn't make it obvious, I am off to vacation! I leave tonight and then tomorrow morning I'm going to be meeting up with [livejournal.com profile] craftyladyparts for a six-day road trip through New England, traveling like crazy people. I doubt we'll be stopping much, but I will have my phone and our hotels will most definitely have wifi, so things like recapping and classes will go up like normal.

Till then, Kitty is a lion cub in the care of [livejournal.com profile] so_hawkward, Sia's off in GFFA till I get back, Jaina's off in GFFA till her, and Jaye and Maddie are sticking around in case play time happens. And you better believe I'm gonna be passing on voicemails on Thursday, dammit.

Adios!

Every section is split up: classes/clubs/library, dorms/personal journals, and townies/bars/clinic. You'll be grabbing the same section all semester, and unless you're covering for someone else, you don't need to worry about any other sections. All you have to do is grab the links for the posts in your section, and the threads in the posts.

-Threads that amount to "so and so existed" and single-ping threads generally don't get dropped, though if there's something you feel is interesting or important and should be included, feel free to include it.
-Be as detailed as possible. "Person A came to work" isn't really helpful, so including details from the post gives the broadcaster more to work with.
-Don't just stop reading a thread because it collapsed. Sometimes important stuff needs a little bit of a warmup to get mentioned in a thread, so it's good to read a little further.
-That said, if you have a post that blows up with comments, like a picnic, it's okay to be a little more slapdash with it. The broadcaster probably wants to get through it as much as you want to get done linking it, and a quick summary is fine. If you're gonna have three comments of links, we understand.

Everyone has their own style for how to write up their comment. Some people break up each post with two spaces between them, some people add ellipses to subthreads so you know it's a subthread, some people just list the links and that's it, etc. All of that's okay. There's no standard right way, so as long as the broadcaster can read the links coherently.

Well, sorta. Welcome to the mostly-annual "Going away for Christmas!" availability post! I'm headed off as of omg o'clock tomorrow morning for a week in Chicago! I'll be at either [livejournal.com profile] craftyladyparts' apartment or our mom's, so I'll have access, I'll just be rocking the SP whenever I'm off being social. I'll also have my phone on me as it's attached to my hand at this point, so if you need to get a hold of me, email, text me, whatever.

For this week, Jaina's off in the GFFA to have plotty-but-not-really-plotty adventures, Sia's been kidnapped to the land of the Penderghasts, Stacey still exists, really is in NY/CT, leaving me with Kitty and Jaye to throw places when I feel like it. I should be good on getting radio links, so no problem there.

I'll be back New Year's Day, probably clinging to whatever's supposed to be passing for "warm" here these days.
